Every time you log in to your Jeeves account, or attempt to make a critical action within it, such as making a payment, inviting users or creating cards, our platform mandates a second form of authentication. Up until now, we've provided two multifactor authentication methods:
- Google Authenticator (globally available)
- Email-based authentication (excluding entities in the UK and EU)
To enhance user experience and security, we've developed an intuitive mobile app-based identity verification system! This will replace the less secure authentication via email. However, you will still have the option to authenticate via the authenticator app of your choice!
How does it work?
Upon logging into the platform or performing a critical action, you will now encounter a pop-up prompting you to use your Jeeves app or your Google Authenticator for identity verification.
Via Jeeves Mobile App
Authenticating your identity through the app only requires a few minutes. Beforehand, ensure you've downloaded the app from either the App Store or Google Play. Follow the instructions provided by the platform for guidance.
Once you installed the Jeeves App on your phone, opting to identify yourself via the app is as simple as opening the Jeeves app and tapping âconfirmâ!
- Make sure to update your Jeeves App to the latest version and remember to enable push notifications!
Via Google Authenticator
If you haven't set up Google authentication on your account, upon logging in, you'll be redirected to the setup page to configure Two-factor authentication. Follow the instructions provided by the platform for guidance.
-
Once you have configured Two-factor authentication, simply open the authentication app of your choice and enter the 6-digit verification code on the platform.
If you encounter issues while configuring your Google Authenticator app, please reach out to your regional support email for assistance.
