In Jeeves, when an admin invites a new team member to join the platform, he can decide whether to assign a card to the new user or just add him to the platform.
If you decide not to assign a card to the user immediately, the user will receive an invitation to join the platform, however, he won't be able to claim a card from the dashboard.
By default, the user also won't be able to create a card on its own. This is because Jeeves has designed the platform to have various degrees of security features. One of these features is the ability to decide whether you want your team members to have permission to create new cards.
Review the card creation permission for your team members
If you are not sure if a team member has permission to create a card, you can review this from the Team tab.
1) Access the Team tab and look for the team member
2) Select the team member to open a panel with the details of the user
3) Scroll down on the panel, to review Permissions
Amend the card creation permission for your team members
Once you have reviewed the team member card permissions, you might decide to create a new card for the team member, without providing permission to create cards or decide to amend the team member's permission so that cards can be created independently.
See below how to amend the card creation permission for a user:
1) Access the Team tab and look for the team member
3) Select the team member to open a panel with the details of the user
4) Select the edit option
5) You can now scroll to the Permissions option and click on the toggle to allow card creation permissions, and click on save changes
If you try to access the side panel details again, after saving the changes, you will now see that the team member will have permission to create their own card.
Remember that you can always decide to remove the permission at a later time, by following the same instructions and editing the permission again.
