At Jeeves, we understand that your privacy and security are of the utmost importance. That is why we offer two-factor authentication (2FA) as an additional layer of security for your account.
Enabling 2FA is easy, and we have outlined the steps below to help you get started:
- Log into your Jeeves account
To enable 2FA, start by logging into your Jeeves account using your email address and password. - Prompt to Configure 2FA
Once you have logged in, you will be prompted to configure 2FA. This will take you to the configuration screen. - Download Authenticator App
To use 2FA, you will need an authenticator app. We recommend Google Authenticator, which is available for download on the App Store or Google Play. Other authenticator apps are available as well. - Add New Account and Scan QR Code
Open the authenticator app you just downloaded, and click on “Add New Account". Then, scan the QR code displayed on the Jeeves configuration screen using your mobile device. - Enter 2FA Code
After you have successfully added your account, you will see a 2FA code displayed in the authenticator app. Enter this code into Step 3 of the Jeeves configuration screen. - Verify
Click on the “Verify” button to complete the 2FA configuration process.
You have successfully configured your Jeeves account for 2FA. Your account is now more secure than ever before.
Enabling 2FA is an easy and effective way to enhance the security of your Jeeves account. We encourage all of our customers to take advantage of this important feature. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact our support team.
What should you do if you see the error 'Incorrect Code'
If you’re seeing an “Incorrect Code” error, you may need to perform a time correction for 2FA codes. Are you using an Android or iOS device?
If using Android:
- Go to the Main Menu on the Google Authenticator app
- Select Settings
- Select Time correction for codes
- Select Sync now
- On the next screen, the app will confirm that the time has been synced, and you should now be able to use your verification codes to sign in.
If using iOS:
- Go to Settings – this will be your phone’s system settings, not the Authenticator app settings.
- Select General
- Select Date & Time
- Enable Set Automatically
- If it’s already enabled, disable it, wait a few seconds and re-enable it.
